The meal production process is called extraction and consists in six stages:
- Preparation of the seeds, dehulling and extraction of the oil with solvent.
- Separation of the solvent from the flakes using high pressure.
- Toasting the flakes and eliminating the toxins by heat a hundred degrees Celsius.
- Cooling the flakes.
- Fine grinding the flakes down to 4-5 mm particles in order to make them suitable for animal feed.
- Storing the meal in silos and flat storage until delivery to customers.
