How is meal produced?

The meal production process is called extraction and consists in six stages:

  1. Preparation of the seeds, dehulling and extraction of the oil with solvent.
  2. Separation of the solvent from the flakes using high pressure.
  3. Toasting the flakes and eliminating the toxins by heat a hundred degrees Celsius.
  4. Cooling the flakes.
  5. Fine grinding the flakes down to 4-5 mm particles in order to make them suitable for animal feed.
  6. Storing the meal in silos and flat storage until delivery to customers.
